This homemade costume for women entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Tammy, the 'Thunderstorm' costume creator:

I am the one wearing the THUNDERSTORM costume that I made myself.

"How to":
I bought a black umbrella (wish I would have found an all black umbrella without polka dots).

Cloud: I spray painted with gray spray paint, fiber fill and glued it to the outside of umbrella in layers to look like a storm cloud

Lightening; I bought white, blinking, battery-operated christmas lights and glue-gunned to inside of the umbrella. I had the battery pack under my dress on right shoulder.

Rain: I found "rain drop" beads on Amazon and glue-gunned them under the umbrella at different lengths.

I had a silver dress. I bought a Gray/black wig and gray face make up from a costume store. I also had an old pair of dance shoes that I glued and silver glittered them.

It was simple to make. It was a hit at a couple Halloween parties I went to.

About how much fill did that take?

HI Missy
Good question. Hmm I don't remember. I know I used at least 1 maybe 2 bags of fill. I glue gunned the fill to the umbrella in layers and spray painted gray.

Thank you,
