This homemade costume for boys entered our 2019 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Joshua, the 'The Invisible Man' costume creator:

Last year, when I was looking for ideas for my Halloween costume, I came across a photo of an invisible man costume. Unfortunately, that was the day before Halloween, and I didn't have time to make it. This year, I looked for costumes a month before Halloween, and I happened to find the same photo again. I still really liked the idea, so I decided to do it.

For this, I used thread, duct tape, a trench coat, two pairs of pants (one was a couple sizes to large), a rectangle shaped peas of wood, knee pads, wire coat hangers, white gloves, safety pins, cardboard, glasses, and a hat.

The only downside to this costume is it is very uncomfortable, but the reactions I got were totally worth it! I saw people staring at me, complimenting me at my costume, poking the 'invisible' parts of the costume to see what was really there, and I also heard some little kids shouting loudly "Look, there's a robot!"

This costume is worth about 75$.

I'm mother of this costume's creator. Jay is only 10 years old, and made this costume on his own. I drove him to the thrift store to find the trench coat and paid for the hat and suspenders, but he did all the work.
