The Cobra Snake Costume

The first thing I did to make my snake costume was to buy a snake skin body suit off of a website. Once I got it I cut the face out. I would later paint my face to look like a snake, making the eyes look big by painting my eye lids to look like the snakes eyes. Next, I got wire from Home Depot and bent it to about the size I wanted it for making my costume look like a cobra. I covered one side with snakeskin fabric, and the other side with white fabric and glued in place. I attached it to the back of the head with safety pins. The next thing I did is got white fabric and cut it to look like the stomach of a snake. I also added some paint to intensify the look. I then covered it with some glittery fabric that I found using glue. To make the tail, I got air duct from Home Depot… At least I think it’s called air duct… I cut them to the sizes that I wanted them to be, each one needing to be a different size. I put them into a circle and safety pinned them together I then took my snakeskin fabric, and covered the air duct with it and sewed it at the bottom. I put the air duct circles together with zip ties and attach them with zip ties to a belt that I had covered with snakeskin fabric. I was able to easily take the tail off if I needed to use the restroom or something like that. On my feet I purchased snakeskin shoes… They blended right in.
