Sweetheart Scarecrow Costume

This is my daughter Campbell (3). Her signature look is pigtails, and in trying to find a costume that featured this favorite "look" of hers I came up with a scarecrow. I had seen a picture online once of a tutu scarecrow costume, and thought "Why not make her the sweetest little scarecrow, ever?" So a long tutu using fall colors (amber, chocolate, gold) brought together with a big sunflower at the top and tied around her neck with a sweet brown ribon. I topped her head with a parchwork hat made of felt and scrap fabrics which I frayed at the edges, I sewed the hat to a headband to ensure it would stay perched atop her sweet little head, with her pigtails just below. Then I colored her nose with eyeliner. ;)
