Spider Girl Costume

This idea originated from Pinterest where we found how to make the cape. Originally our idea was to make the spider web caep and put a big spider on her chest. As we started the process we decided to cover her in spiders and spider webs.

I did her hair and make up from some ideas I found online. The spider in her hair is made from pipe cleaners and beads. The idea came from Pinterest. I dressed her in all white and found some ladies hose at Walmart that reminded me of spider webs. I put the panty hose over a pair of white hose and hot glued the spiders on. For her arms I used the same concept. I used the same hose, but cut off the feet and the waist to make 2 separate "sleeves" I then put the sleeves over a white shirt and hot glued the spiders on. Her cape was cut out of black felt and this idea came Pinterest. We then bought a string of battery operated Spider lights and weaved them in and out of the cape. I was very pleased with how well it turned out. Her pet spider is a large spider we had in out Halloween decorations and we just used a wire hanger to create a leash she could walk with. We completed the costume with some black lipstick and spider webs around her eyes.

Jaida, looked so cute in this costume and it was definitely a head turner!
