Scottish Pipe & Drum Band Costume

My two mini Dachshunds are sporting handmade kilts and instruments to resemble a classic Scottish pipe and drum band.
Each kilt took about a quarter yard of fabric to make. And the instruments are made out of household items, such as an empty roll of tape, butchers twine, paintbrush handles and other bits and pieces. In total it took about a week to complete both costumes. The backdrop for this photo is a large format print of an actual glen in Scotland. This year's costumes were inspired by my step-dad who is Scottish and frequently wears a kilt.
