This homemade costume for pets entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Barry, the 'Ripped from the Headlines' costume creator:
As per current events, my three dogs, Pike(the Pope), Pia(Donald Trump), and Pippin ( Caitlyn Jenner )are Halloween headlines. The news stand is constructed of cardboard, and PVC channels, set on top of a red flyer wagon. I (Barry the pet owner ) am the newsboy RIPPING THE HEADLINES through the Halloween pet parade. Most of the magazine covers were donated by friends as well as the wagon. Price for three dogs was unconditional love and dog treats. I already owned the Newsies cap.
We were motivated to reflect that constant media coverage of Pop Culture in the world. The idea came from my bestie Susan that adores Halloween, puppies, and winning contest thus, this was a trifecta opportunity to combine all her favorite things.
