Prince Bowie Costume

I am wearing the costume. Its half prince and half david bowie. I wanted to pay homage to both late greats. I bought a glittery jumpsuit for the David Bowie side to recreate his famous one shoulder sleeve/one leg onesies. I cut one leg off. Then I got a purple cascading cardigan and I fused it with iron on interfacing to make it a bit more structured. I cut it in half and to keep it from falling and I added a white organza neck piece like the white frilly shirt prince wears. I sewed 2 shoulder pads from a purple frilly top I almost used to the one shoulder. I also sewed a piece of a black sequined veat to the one shoulder to mock prince's silver atuded insert from his purple rain coat. Then I tied black hair ties to it and hooked that to a button at the neck to make it stay secure. I added the pleats to the front and the cuff of the sleeve as a mock shirt. Then I drew half of the ziggy stardust lightning bolt on my face with face paint and a little eyeliner to the prince side. I also sprayed my hair red on the bowie side. I was worried it would look a too disheveled but I got alot of compliments on it so hope u all like it!
