Police Crew Costume

Lucille is 2 and is dressed as a police woman! I couldn't find any super cute police woman costumes so I made her a black tutu out of tulle and sewed elastic into it and then sewed a black and white ribbon followed by glitter ribbon and then blue silk ribbon along the bottom as trim. Her top is a blue shirt which I sewed a black collar onto (printed out a generic collar pattern and sized accordingly), sewed silver elastic sequin trim along sleeves and used the remainder as a headband, made a necktie from a toddler necktie pattern and then sewed that on, created a pocket pattern for the shirt and sewed that on, I then made a heat transfer police badge with my cricut machine and ironed that on as well as a police heat transfer which I ironed onto the back of it. I attached Velcro to the tutu and the handcuffs so they can be attached and removed as well. Her brother Alvin is a 7 year old lab mix dressed as a police dog! I purchased his costume and then created a police heat transfer with my cricut machine and ironed it onto the back of his shirt. Lucilles sister theadora is a 5 year old miniature schnauzer mix and is dressed as a prisoner. I created my own pattern for a little hat and attached elastic and cut out the letters for prisoner and hot glued them onto her hat and made her a tutu by sewing elastic into tulle. The idea for the police crew came to me at Easter time when Lucille was gifted a little tykes police car!!!!! They've all had so much fun in their costumes!
