A word from Danny, the 'Mr. Toffee with Candy Crush Candy' costume creator:

I am wearing my costume in these photos. I play Candy Crush on my phone and was trying to think of ideas for Halloween and the answer was in the palm of my hand! I like to be trendy and contemporary and so I figured...Candy Crush! I made my costume from assorted materials: a long red coat and blue pants, white dress shirt, and red vest from the local thrift store, I modified them with some stitching, added a pocket for a white hanky, cutting and added blue material for details and inside liner of the coat (you can't see in photo). I took mid-sized metal buttons and covered them with gold material for the hinges. A wild-haired, red wig that I molded and shaped moderately to match the character as closely as possible. I used parts of the wig to make a mustache, eyebrows, and a goatee. I purchased an all-blue tie. I purchased a "tiny" red hat from an online tiny hat store that I modified with blue material. I purchased cartoon character hands/gloves that I painted with fleshtone. I purchased a monocle. I added "spats" to my black shoes using white felt. You can't see the character's shoes in this photo, however, he does wear them.

And.........for added fun, I purchased candy that EXACTLY matches some of those used in the game, mixed them and bagged them up to and out to friends from my pockets. I've also attached a photo of the candies---again all of which are available in stores or online. I spent about $150 on my costume and candy and about 12 hours work. What fun!

Thanks for considering!
