Disney's Maleficent Costume

My 4 year old daughter wore the costume. We made the headpiece from an old winter hat, cardboard and black duct tape. We added a piece of foam over the cardboard to give the horns a 3 d effect. We took a basic set of wings and glued feathers around the top. We cut strips of garbage bags and hot glued them to wings to give them the leather affect that the headpiece has. We made the staff by rolling up cardboard and coating with the black duct tape. We got four sticks from the yard and coated them with electrical tape to hold the light on the staff. The light was a 3" floating swimming pool ball. The only expense to us was the basic wings $9 and the pool ball $3.
