DIY Jack Skellington Costume

I am wearing the costume. I have always dreamed of dressing up as jack from "A nightmare before christmas" but was very disappointed in all the store bought options. I realized I would have to make it myself starting with the most important part...the head! I used a pumpkin and then paper-mached it with old massage parlor ads. After that I bondo sealed it, sanded it down, spray painted and lacquered the head before carving the eyes and mouth out. I made a strap and used bat shaped sponges as inserts inside the head. The suit was made from plain black tux jacket and girls tights with me painting on all the stripes. The bat bow tie is made from a rubber bat toy head, wires, paint, and fabric. I was sooo happy with how it turned out and showcase the head in my house.
