Anger and Joy from "Inside Out" Costume

My sweet husband and I went as Joy and Anger from "Inside Out" this year.

His head was made out of 2 inch craft foam, wrapped in a cylinder, hot glued together and covered in red felt (tacked on with more hot glue). There were a LOT of blisters from the hot glue gun the next day... Then I cut out a hole for his mouth out of the foam, glued two layers of black cheesecloth to the inside of the head so he could see through it (I started using tacky fabric glue instead of hot glue and I was SO much happier), and glued foam teeth to the outer lip of the mouth. I printed out the eyes, cut them and glued them on with tacky fabric glue. The rest of his costume was pretty easy :)

My dress was purchased at a thrift store and I added blue sequin star bursts with tacky fabric glue. The wig came from Amazon.

It was a HUGE hit at our downtown Halloween festival - we were featured in the local newspaper, and all night kids and their parents were asking to take photos with us. It was quite flattering and very fun.
