A word from Julia, the 'Emily The Corpse Bride' costume creator:

Julia Barganier is wearing the costume. The dress is a wedding dress purchased from a thrift store for 5.00 dollars. The veil was given to her by her Mom. Her younger sister helped her spray paint the bright white dress and veil at there house. The paint was 15.00 total. Julia is wearing a wig she borrowed from her sister. The flowers in her hair came from her grandmas sewing and craft dresser(free)which she twined and twisted them together to make a half crown across the front of her for head using a plastic headband. Her bouquet was bought at Walmart years ago(cost 5.00) for a wedding that she attended and she found it in her garage covered in spider webs and dust. Her younger sister helped with the painting of the bouquet too. Her shoes wear old dress shoes she wore to a school dance. The makeup was done mostly by herself but the eyes and shadowing was completed by her younger sister. The makeup brand is sold at Michaels craft store. Its called Snazaroo. Colors used were - Classic Face Paint Pale Blue, black, and in classic light grey. The makeup belongs to her younger sister who loves to paint faces, so it didn't cost anything. Julia is also wearing false eyelashes from a dollar general store that cost .99 cents. Her left arm has a long sleeved shirt with bones one it and a partial rib cage on the right that was hot glued on by Julia. The shirt came from a garage sale and cost .25 cents. The hot glue was free from her awesome Aunt Lori. This costume took 2 weeks to make. And thats both sisters, who go to school full time....accomplishing it as a team. No adults helped. Though they wanted to. Julia said... "no way.:-) we got this!" Happy Halloween!!!!
