This homemade costume for kids entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Melissa, the 'Adventures in Babysitting' costume creator:
This is my kids dressed up as sara anderson and mr. dawson from adventures in babysitting. i literally put together every single piece of the costumes. bought an old sweater on ebay, and colored it in with fabric paint to match. bought a viking hat with wings, and spray painted it silver. bought a mini backpack, and make a felt adhesive gizmo to put on the backpack. took a playboy cover and wrapped it around some highlights magazines. bought the thor hammers. used an embroidery machine to make the patch for the trucker hat, and used some random pieces from their closets for the rest. the movie s from 1987, so not many people knew who they were, but the ones who did thought it was amazing.
