A word from Theresa, the 'Mother Theresa' costume creator:
I am wearing my costume. I found this old concert dress from high school, and first thought of a witch, then changed my mind to a nun. I was born and raised Catholic...as a little girl, I wanted to be a nun.
I went to the local Goodwill store and purchased a black low neck shirt for sleeves, a white turtle neck for the neck, and I used one sleeve, by cutting out a circle for my face, I created the head covering. I used a back broadcloth shirt for the veil, and covered a three inch band of a plastic placemat and covered it with the other sleeve of the white shirt. I hot glued the shirt to the band, making the head piece. Total cost including the glue gun.....$18
