Mike Wazowski and Sulley Couple Costume

Mike Wazowski was made with 200 yards of tulle, elastic, satin ribbon, felt, marabou feather boas, a plain headband, safety pins, hot glue, and several hours of hard work! I got the idea from a children's costume I saw on Pinterest, and decided to take it a bit further. I started by measuring and cutting 100 yards of lime green tulle and 100 yards of green apple glitter tulle into strips. I crafted the dress the same way as s tutu would be made. I used different sized bowls to cut the eye circles from the felt, and the mouth pieces & horns were cut freehand. The marabou was wrapped around the top of the tutu dress and also hot glued to the headband. The marabou wrist and ankle bands were tied on. Once the dress was on, I loosely tied a satin ribbon around my legs and poofed it up over my hips to create the round shape. The eye and mouth were simply pinned on so the would move freely without damaging the dress. It was definitely my favorite costume that I've ever made!
