A word from Kristina, the 'Meals on Wheels' costume creator:

Kristina Allen is wearing the Meals on Wheels costume and I have been wanting to do this costume for a couple of years, but I wasn't sure how to execute it. Since I didn't do it last year I spent the last year finding food inspired materials for my costume.

I couldn't find exactly what I wanted for the shish kabob's, but they came out pretty good. I hot glued them to some spoke beads. I wanted to add more, but they were tough to get on and off. I also made some milk cartons from a template I downloaded off the internet. Simple to construct and you can add your own added flare to it. In my case they were glittered.

At first we didn't have the table on it because everyone said it took away from the cuteness of the apron. Last minute I decided to add a table made simply out of a cardboard box and a table cloth I found on clearance and folded it in half. Cut a big hole in the middle and stapled the table cloth to it. I added glitter to a plastic bowl and plate and also some plastic silverware to make it pop on the table. Added candy to the dishes and gave it out to whoever wanted some.

The sign is made out of thick poster board and some construction paper and the wheel spins. Glued it to some PVC pipe and attached it to my chair. Bought some food balloons at the party store and tied them on for some added flare.

It turned out to be a cute costume with a sense of humor.
