I used Pellon backing to give this collar and Maleficent’s collar more structure Photo #6 - One of Maleficent’s wing-like sleeves Photo #7 - Base for horns: cheap Amazon horn set, newspaper, paper cups, and tape to sculpt desired shape Photo #8 - Lots of paper mache Photo #9 - Covered in cosplay foam, then hot-glued black fabric and accent ribbon (as you see I’m finished product) Photo #10 - Thanks for celebrating this spooky season with us!

A word from Ariel, the 'Maleficent & Hades' costume creator:

Hello Halloween friends! My fiancé (Hades, Lord of the Underworld) and I (Maleficent, Mistress of All Evil) absolutely love Halloween and we wanted to share our villainy with you all! It was his idea to go as Disney villains. This year, we made our costumes completely from scratch. I learned how to use a sewing machine this summer. The only piece that is store bought is my loyal bird familiar, Diablo, but the staff he sits on is also homemade with a broom handle, spray paint, and Foam-Mo cosplay foam. Face, body paint, and hair styling takes us about 2 hours to get ready. But hey, being this evil ain’t easy! Hades grew his hair out for a year, then had it bleached and dyed especially for this occasion. I would say we spent about $175 on fabric from Joann’s, $30 on the staff, $50 on all the materials for accents (ribbon, cosplay foam, paper mache, Snazaroo face paint, etc.), and $100 for the professional hair dying.
