Lt. Dan Costume

Cameron is our Forever Foster (still available for adoption in San Diego CA) through Lionel’s Legacy.org. Cameron was rescued with no movement or use of his hind end due to a spinal injury and therefor utilizes a wheelchair. Over the last year and a half is slowly learning to use his legs again!
After a year of fostering Cameron I knew I wanted to make him a cool costume this year. When my boyfriend mentioned Lieutenant Dan I knew we had to do it, as well as make Jenny and Forrest costumes to match OF COURSE. After over 4 hours of thrift and accessory shopping I had everything I needed. For 3 hours I took a men’s medium shirt, a toddlers size 6 pants and cut them and hot glued them to Chihuahua/Dachshund size to attach to Cameron’s wheels (he does not like getting dressed up). I also took a headband cut down to size for a collar and took some scraps, a paper bag and some foil to create a mini beer can. because it wouldn't be Lt. Dan without his booze.
I put a lot of time and detail into our costumes and hope others will appreciate it.... and Cameron. He may be a tough case to get adopted but we will love him as our own till that day comes. He is @cameroniezambonie on Instagram.
