This homemade costume for pets entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Wylie, the 'Loki' costume creator:

My Corgi, Murray, is dressed as Loki - the villain from the summer hit The Avengers. The costume is completely handmade by my boyfriend, Dylan Derryberry, including a staff that lights up and is made of a dog bone. The internet hit at the moment is everyone dressing their Corgi up as Thor, making him Thorgi, but we decided to go against the grain and try something a little different. Dylan then made himself entirely out of cardboard a very impressive Iron Man suit and I made myself a Thor costume.

Wow this is impressive!! I am wanting to dress up my malamute, Thunder, as Thor and my collie, Loki, as Loki (of course). Are there any tips or ideas you have on what materials to use? Thanks!! Also curious how he turned the doggie bone into a staff... Genius!!

Most of the costume was made from two knights helmets that we picked up from Dollar Tree. The parts with the holes were simply the mouth piece that wrapped around the knights helmet. As for sticking it to the bone, we used hot glue. Spray with a little gold spray paint and you're good to go! :)
