A word from Erica, the 'Pippi Longstocking' costume creator:
My daughter is wearing the costume. She wanted to be Pippi Longstocking for her birthday. I made Pippis House Villa Villa Kula from paper and ribbon from the dollar store. Her dress is a plain green T-shirt from the dollar store I ironed on a seam and sowed buttons on it. Cut it to her size and finishing it up with iron on tape, I don't sow. The apron was the most expensive 5.50 for the material. I cut it and ironed it together with iron on tape. Used Velcro stickers instead of sowing button holes on it and seed on buttons on it just for decoration. The tights were women one size white knee high tights that I died with left over Easter dye. Horse is foam board from the dollar store and crayons.
