A word from Kassie, the 'Laundry Time' costume creator:
These are my daughters Kenzie(the washing machine) and Keeley (the laundry basket). They have a costume contest at their school trunk or treat every year so being the crafty and a little competitive mama I am we are always trying to outdo our costume from the year before. These are both homemade. The washing machine was made only from a cardboard box, spray paint,an aluminum throw away roasting pan, some saran wrap, a few actual washing machine knobs came from a friend who had a couple old broke one lying around and hot glue. I just cut out where the head and arms came through and just glued the rest of the stuff on. The detergent and cup headband just came from my detergent I saved. And the detergent box made a great addition as a Halloween box to drop the candy in. The laundry basket was an extra a friend had. I cut out the bottom for the legs to go through. Bought the suspenders at walmart for $6. Again just glued the laundry products I already had on. Used her own clothes for the laundry and tied fabric softener sheets in her pigtails for added effect. These two costumes cost about me under $15 for both.
