A word from Frank, the 'King Tut' costume creator:
In the photo I am wearing the costume. I have an an interest with historical and unique items and I wanted to do something different for a costume contest at William's Nursery in Westfield NJ. I started off with the mask using a box and by making the outline or shape of the face. then I made what could be called a head dress, putting that around the back of the face. The beard and the little thing that sticks upward at the top of the mask I actually did at the end after printing out a King Tut coloring sheet and design the front lower part of the costume. I used colors and shapes to represent the characters that appear on the actual sarcophagus of King Tut.
