This homemade costume for men entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Kevin, the 'Judge Dredd' costume creator:
This is my Judge Dredd 95 Stallone costume. This costume is roughly 65% homemade and is one of my first costumes I ever made. The armor is made of EVA foam, and cardboard. The helmet was purchased from Italy, and the shoulder armor was purchased from an artisan in UK. The boots are actually motorcycle boots modified to look like Judge Dredd's. The forearm armor plates are actually baseball catcher armor pieces.
The gloves are motorcycle gloves purchased online. All the belt items including the Lawgiver holster, codpiece, and belt boxes are all homemade from EVA foam and cardboard. The badge is an online purchase too. The Lawgiver is completely adequate out of EVA foam and it has light up indicators on the sides. The undersuit is made of spandex and cotton and is also an online purchase. The whole costume is accented with gold chrome metallic decal material to be movie accurate.
