They are usually bordering on "professional" but actually proven to be made by someone who just loves the whole"Costume" thing and thus..may have more experience (gathered over the years) than the average Mom and Dad at home in the garage or sewing room equipped with needle and thread , cardboard, and gluegun. As you may
notice.... I have
dedicated the
first
several pages of this site to Halloween and all you need to do is

a Topic on the Menu on the left of this page to get
to the desired Halloween/Costume page. Of course you needn't
stick to pages labeled "Halloween" to find a great Costume to wear on
Halloween. Further down the Menu you will find Fantasy Costumes,
Movie Costumes, Historical Costumes, Holiday Costumes, and
etc. Someone may want to
dress like an Outlaw or Sheriff ,( found in the "Western Costume"
section...)Or maybe

Masquerade Birthday Parties can be JUST the thing for turning a yearly
event that can get rather repititous...into something much more
exciting and out of the ordinary. Age should be no object, as these
types of Birthday Parties can be enjoyed by Children and Adults alike.
Adults... Put on those Dancing Shoes and get ready to BOOGIE...Try a
"50's Theme Party". Complete with Poodle Skirt
outfit , Do-Wop Wig, and let's not forget, those
hunky bad boys in their Leather Jackets and Slicked Back
Hair-do("skull-cap" if needed)..ALL found

OR!...How
about that COSTUME Birthday Party for a youngin'. Wouldn't the
kids just go CRAZY dressing as their favorite Super Heros or Cartoon

I give
you...Optimus Prime
from The Transformers(left) MARDI GRAS is traditionally a NEW OLREANS, 3 day party and parade. Costumes are a very necessary item if you'd like to feel TRUELY a "part of"that street party. The fun and craziness of this affair has, for a few years now, made it's way further East and all the way West...and is celebrated similarly in many cities around the good ole USA. I am hearing that the last few years... Mardi Gras was celebrated as far away as... by our troops in Iraq! As you can see by the picture below...the troops went ALL out for this occasion! This is...a GREAT PICTURE! Ü  
As I work
on these pages I
will be adding new reasons for getting dressed-up as I hear
of
them. Meantime.. I will be adding new Costumes that I come across that
I feel you simply won't be able to live without.

One last thing I MUST mention about COSTUMES. You may find yourself
short of time..or perhaps you just can't find the costume that you
want
at your local shopping mall (especially if it's not "costume"
season). Costume Party Supplies and Decorations  Now that you have YOUR wardrobe/costume for the great event (your party) all ready to slip on...it's time to figure out the party DETAILS. The FIRST thing you will probably want to do is to get your party written-in on everyones calendar. That means...INVITATIONS!

SPEAKING
OF DECORATIONS!!!!!! Ü
The thing I really
like
about
a Pinata is that it
acts
as a beautiful decoration..right up until time for it to
become the main attraction in coming face-to-face with a baseball
bat((my type of fun.) (did I hear you say,"huh?" Ü).I LOVE Pinatas!!!! By the way, Pinatas need not always to be stuffed with sweets. If the Hosts prefer they can stuff a Pinata with small prizes..or even seperately wrapped, small , NON-sweet edibles.(making sure these items are sturdy enough, wrapped well enough, to withstand the fall to the ground and the even ruder possibility of getting stepped on.). There are so MANY Pinatas to choose from and you can check out some very cool ones at Pinatas.com. There are "Football Theme" Pinatas, "I love you" Pinatas, "Christmas" and all "Holiday" Pinatas. What a great shop. 
Two

my favorites: One for Halloween..and one..a Wedding Cake! (I can
imagine all kinds of things to stuff the wedding cake with for a
Bachelorette Party or Wedding Shower Ü)
Like I said..there are MANY Pinatas to choose from AS WELL as
SCADDS of Decoration and Party Supplies!
Many
of us, as children, enjoyed the fun of getting into Mommy and/or
Daddy's closet , or even better, stowed away trunks from Grandma and
Grandpas time. There we discovered worlds of role-play. We called it
"Dress-up" when I was a child (looooooong ago ). My
mother offered up some of her costume jewelry and even a bit of
make-up
too. What JOY! It was very exciting to be able to shed my 'little
girl'
persona to become a glamorous woman. Yes, glamorous. The cut glass in
my Mothers costume jewelry necklace had
turned to diamonds ( Large Marquise Diamonds as a matter of fact:-)
with just a wave of my imagination.
Of course, as I got older, the fascination with my mothers closets wore out, but I continued to look forward to every chance I had to be in costume. Halloween became a BIGGIE and actually remained quite an occasion all the way through my child rearing years. I had so much fun dressing my own kids for Halloween..that I think even THEY enjoyed my nit-picking their Costumes to perfection. They loved it and so did I. Heck, I even had to dress-up myself (on THEIR insistance of course ,-) to take them trick-or-treating a time or two.
Now that I’m a more "mature" woman, I leave most of the dressing-up to the youngins. I have 6 adult children and 11 grandchildren (and still counting) so I figure I DID my job! I’ll just sit back and get my joy out of "watching" and helping all of you out there, the best I can to have your costume ideas and dreams come true. Costuming, and everything about it, can be LOADS of fun that NOBODY should have to miss out on!
