Human Paparazzi Costume

Nicole (freelance photographer) is wearing the costume. The camera costume was inspired by a costume seen on the Internet several years ago. However, my costume was constructed differently and did not provide functionality like the original costume that inspired me to create this version.

The costume was created using cardboard boxes from Home Depot and smaller boxes in which packages were shipped in. The lens is created out of a black bucket. I cut the bottom of the bucket out and removed the handle. Once the bottom was cut out, I used a hot glue gun and black duct tape to attach the bucket to the camera body. The button on top of the camera was constructed out of a circular tube and was wrapped in black duct tape, painted with spray paint, and the controls were hand-painted using white paint from an arts and crafts store. On the back of the camera, I glued a photo of my son that I had enlarged at a local office supply store.

I used black spray paint to spray the camera body.
