Hot Air Balloon Baby Costume

This is my two year old daughter (Aria) wearing her hot air balloon costume! We found the idea for her costume one Pinterest. There were not any directions on how to put it all together but thankfully I have a very crafty family member who helped us construct it. We used two wire wreath frames, sculpture balloons (the one's a clown would make balloon animals out of), a basket, four 4foot dowel rods, string, brown paper and beans to make sand bags, felt to make the fire hat,and a buckle to make a harness. We used a drill to drill holes in the dowel rods so that we could tie them all in the basket in four corners. Attached the dowel rods to the wreath frames and then tied the balloons on each frame to form the round balloon look. Made bags our of the paper and poured the beans in for the sand bags. We didn't use real sand because I didn't want my daughter to have too much weight on her. Cut flames out of the felt and sewed them together to make a round flame hat! I bought everything at hobby lobby and knew ahead of time what she was going to be so I had plenty of time to pick up a few things here and there and each time used the 40% off coupon and all together may have had $25 in the whole costume!!!!!!! I couldn't tell you how many people stopped to take her picture and tell us how neat her costume was!! ❤️
