Village Mermaids Group Costume

Heather, Don, Sam and Dana, all neighbors are the Village Mermaids. The tail triangles were cut from twin sheets. The fins are colored poster board folded and cut to resemble a fin. We put some glitter on them so they would pop.

Each costume is Themed:
Heather is food. The tail is decorated with dog food toys, burger, hot dog, pizza and fries. Yarn seaweed and netting. All from dollar store.
Don is Toys, his tail is cars, bubble wands, rubber ducks on suspenders and netting,and his crown is doll arms and legs and bubble wands, again from dollar store.
Dana is kitchen. his tail is knife and forks, a garland of cups and seaweed. His bra is ketchup and mustard bottles on a goodwill bra. his crown is a handled food strainer with feathers and a sink strainer.
Sam is wearing a tub themed tail with deconstructed scrubbers as a garland, rubber duck and frog scrubber, yarn seaweed. He has a silver sparkle home made bra (from the scrap bin, with frog bath mitts. On his head he has a shower cap topped with a frog scrubber.
