Usher with Popcorn Costume

I decided I wanted my youngest to be a bag popcorn for Halloween when I seen a simple design on Facebook. It would be so easy to carry her on my chest while my oldest ran door to door. I'm very crafty and decided to make my daughter a 3D bag of popcorn instead of following the original idea. I did this by sewing my hand made popcorn suit to a piece of card board and then bending it to form a box. I attached it to her carrier and last minute (Oct 30th) I decided I needed to dress up too. I set out thrift store shopping. I found maroon slacks first, a white button up then a matching tie. I wanted a blazer! My search continued and with luck I found the perfect match. I still felt something was missing! What is a movie theater usher without a hat!? Surely I'd never find one by tomorrow. So I went to hobby lobby, purchased some black and red glitter foam and headed home. I created the perfect hat to top off my costume! I love do it yourself projects. I love saving money more, this entire costume including everything purchased so I could make both cost me less than $20! We received lots of compliments and it was so much fun to dress up! I haven't worn a costume since I was a kid. It turned out to me a fantastic Halloween! :)
