Organic Grapes Costume

My 7 year old daughter loved this grape costume and so did everyone that saw her. She won first place at two different events with it. When I was a teenager my friends and I each dressed as one of the fruits from "fruit of the Loom" commercial and I always remembered how much fun they were so decided my daughter should be the grapes. It was relatively simple to make using the following supplies:

• Green Top
• Green leggings
• Safety pins
• Green balloons
• Brown pipe cleaners
• Empty toilet roll
• Green and brown felt
• Thick plastic headband

Blow up balloons and pin to shirt. Wrap brown pipe cleaners around a few balloons as "vines"
Squish empty toilet roll to give it a crumbled stem shape and hot glue gun brown felt to it. Cut our leaves in felt and then glue them to a thick headband from the dollar store. Hot glue toilet roll step onto the headband as well. Find and image of a bar code and enlarge it. Type your text above it and print off. Laminate if you like. Attach a string to it and tie somewhere on costume.
