Lego Movie Group Costume

After enjoying, 'The Lego Movie' so much, I got the idea to make costumes of the characters. With only my husband and myself at home, we needed recruitments, so we enlisted a good friend and her husband and kids to dress up with us.

I started with making the dimensions of the body, and worked out from their. Using cardboard boxes, I made the entire body, then my husband spray painted them and I hand painted their designs on each costume.

The heads were made using Sonotubes (found at home improvement stores), and thanks to my brother and dad who work with styrofoam, we got some rough cut pieces used for the helmet, batman, and the hair.

It was definitely a hit, and the best part was sharing the fun with the kids at their school. Lots of happy faces!
