This homemade costume for women entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Jill, the 'Dark Ariel' costume creator:
I (Jill) am wearing the costume. I got my idea from watching Once Upon a Time. I made my costume from scratch, no pattern. The seashells are 100% real they were white, but I painted them purple and put some jewels on them, I put felt on the back so that way they want to hurt whenever I wore them. I got all of the fabric at Joann's. And I got the jewels, starfish and knickknacks at hobby lobby. It was a lot of fun but took a lot of work. In the end I was rather happy with the result.
