Combine Tractor Costume

When asked what he wanted to be for trick or treat, Nolan Moore whome is 2 years old responded with "a combine with a corn head". Nolan's uncle Greg is a farmer. Since he was old enough to talk he talked about how he wanted to be a farmer and drive combines and get corn and beans! I was at a loss at how to make a combine costume so I started my google search for pictures! We decided to make it the "body" out of cardboard and attach straps to go over his shoulders. Once that was cut out we spray painted it red like a CASE IH combine. We then got styrofoam and cut them into triangles and attached with ducttape to the cardboard body. That was also spray painted red. We printed off labels with case ih on them and taped them to the sides, as well as the back reflector cardboard light. We used a pool noodle to cut a curved "auger" and put in the front neat the "corn head". Nolan was the talk of the town! But of course the best part of the costume is the little farmer man inside driving it!
