Ape Man Costume

This costume was created and worn by myself . I grew up with the original planet of the apes . I love Halloween and being able to transform into something you don't see every where . I used a couple prosthetic pieces for my face which I pre painted with pax paint before hand . I attached the pieces with pros aide . Pros aide is an adhesive which is sweat proof , water proof and pretty much anything proof . I bought two packs of dark brown crepe hair and two packs of black crepe hair and mixed them together to create a more natural look . I made a simple oversized poncho with three yards of fabric . I wore this costume to work for our annual Halloween party . It took me over four hours the morning of to attach , apply makeup and perfect . My arms , chest , neck are painted with pax paint . I then brushed on pros aide ( body glue ) and attached crepe hair . My beard and hairline was made with pieces of crepe hair . I sprayed the back of my hair black and formed long crepe hair over it to hide it . Pax paint is made with 1:1 ratio of pros aide and liquitex acrylic paint .
