Greyscale 1950's Couple Costume

My husband and I were watching Gone With the Wind when we had the idea to create Halloween costumes in which we removed as much of our pigment as we could, and place our characters in the colorful world that we live in. We bought all black white and grey clothing, dyed my hair black and purchased lots of mid-tone grey makeup to cover any visible skin, as well as black and white makeup to create contour and highlight to our skin. After a few practice runs and a few grey and black stained towels, we were very happy with the results and the looks we got when walking down the street on Halloween day :)
