A word from Monica, the 'Goth Raggedy Ann' costume creator:
I love the goth culture for Halloween. It allows me to be someone very different than myself so I knew I wanted to be goth. In my online searches of the word "goth", I came across the idea of Goth Ann. Then I went in search of anything black and white. Goodwill is where I found the skirt (sequenced black mini). The shoes on found on South Beach (Miami) on clearance (platform velvet). The apron is white eyelet and very old...I had kept it for just such an occasion. There are many accessories like leather spike bracelets, black lace gauntlets, lots of rings, chains, black glitter nail polish and furry elastic bands on my sleeves. The necklace is the only splash of red - a brooch pinned to velvet ribbon. I copied the makeup from raggedy friend but did all in black. The wig was really fun...I attached a shoulder pad to a skull cap and hot glued black yarn. When I opened my mouth there was a green glow (like a glow stick thing for your mouth I found at party city). My Raggedy friend was a vampire version which worked well.
