Forrest Gump and Lieutenant Dan Costume

This September I had to have a hip surgery called Free Fibula Graft because my hip bone was dying due to previous cancer treatment when I was 13. I am now 26 and still having to deal with the repercussions of cancer. This year, my husband and 8 decided to make the best out of it as I have been wheel chair bond for 6 weeks. Forest Gump is one of our favorite movies and I already had the wheel chair so we thought how funny would it be to be Forest and Lieutenant Dan. We didn’t have to buy much. All the clothes, we already had. My husband made drew my beard with my eye liner pen. The “legs” are stuffed with T-shirt’s. All that was purchased was the red hat, dog tags and head band for about $12.00. It was fun to finally get out of the house and have something to laugh about!
