Baby Octopus Costume

Teddy's first Halloween costume is inspired by one of our favorite books "The Fearless Octapus."

I started with a red hat, onesie and four pairs of baby tights. I also bought black, white and orange felt, polyfil stuffing, and used a glue gun.

For the legs, I stuffed three pairs of tights with stuffing. Then I cut them off the top and hot glued them closed. I cut the top elastic off one pair of tights and wrapped the top of the stuffed legs around the band and glued shut so the legs could slide. This allows me to easily take the legs on and off and reposition. Then I cut and glued orange circles for the tentacles and felt eyes on the hat!
