Family Weather System Costume

Each costume is worn by the personality who best embodies that type of weather. The rain cloud is our moody, stormy son, the sunshine- our "sunshiney" boy, the tornado is the little guy who's known for destruction and the little rainbow ties our family into a beautiful complete package. Mom is the snow storm and Dad is just hanging on for dear life attempting to forecast the weather on any given day!

The rain cloud was made from gluing poly-fil to a clear umbrella and attaching strings with blue rhinestones as rain. The tornado was made by gluing poly-fil to a cut out pattern on wire mesh. The rainbow was hand-sewn using felt, and the head piece and wand for the snow was hand made from snow ornaments. The inspiration was from our first son's personality. We used to say "it's like a rain cloud follows him around". Our 2nd son is super sunshiney and our 3rd son is wild and destructive like a tornado. The rainbow ties our family up in a beautiful complete bow. Now I can cross this great idea off my mommy bucket list! :)
