A word from Donna, the 'E.T.' costume creator:
-google ET make up
-I tried using face paint, but it made his face itchy, so i use eyeliner pencils and black and brown eye shadow.
-White old sheets which I cut up in half.
-white foam poster board i got from dollar tree.
-the back of the box, cut to slit going down on each side, so you can just slide the poster board in, instead of gluing it or taping it.
-I used Oil Crayon. In my area there's a store called DAISO, everything in there is 1.50. So i got a box of 24 vibrant crayons for $1.50
-I cut up carboard boxes and reshaped it to better fit my son.
-Used grey duct tape to cover up the entire box and drew on it to make it look like it was a crate.
-I used a regular white sheet of paper and drew the boy and tape it onto the foam poster.
-Make sure to attach a robe/strap inside of the box and have it go behind his neck and across his shoulder blade.
I couldn't find any brown overalls, so i bought denim and bleach it and dyed it brown.
I went to a thrift store to find a brown turtle neck sweater and drew lines going across.
bleach and dye 5.00
blonde wig: 7.99
I bought the brown bucket and flower at dollar tree.
The foam to hold up the flowers was at Micheal's.
