Enchanted Fairy Costume

This costume is completely hand sewn. Skirt is tulle on an elastic waist band. The layer of leaves was a placement that I added for more nature look. The top is a vinyl hand sewn with eye hooks in the back.the leaf skirt portion hascbells to make the fairy sound as she moves. This costume also has a hand made fairy wand made out of a wire hanger, florist tape a flower green tulle and jingle bells. The wings are float pieces from hobby lobby that looked great as wings on this costume.

She is sitting on a flat bed wagon that was hand made with a cushion, leaves placemat turned into a blanket to cover the cushion. The sides are made with left over pieces of plastic lattice tied with a rope to the flat bed. Burlap ribbon weaved around the lattice to add depth. The large flowers are hobby lobby flowers woven into the lattice and stapled. The inside lattice has a moss table runner stapled to the lattice and Ivy and floor garland added all around for more of a garden feel. There is a beehive with fake bees attached that look like they are flying. Moss hot glued all around to hide the bungee cords holding the branch and ropes and bungee cords holding the Ikea leaf to the wagon. A wooden closet rack is holding up one end of the wagon leaf to stabilize the leafy cover. Battery operated Fairy lights are attached to the pole and all around the lattice to give an enchanted feel as it becomes frame. Tulle netting added to the lattice and leaf to make a hidden place to give a more tent feel. Dragon flies and metal fairies added for the feel. Greenery added to back of wagon to hide the metal band flat bed. Four long pillows and one rose pillow finish off the look.

Dragon boy costume made with simplicity pattern for a toddler dinosaur. I added wings from an adult fairy costume pattern that simplicity had as well. The scale like material was on sale at Walmart and I used the brown vinyl to bing costumes together.
