This homemade costume for couples entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Joshlyn, the 'Dorothy and Scarecrow' costume creator:
Myself and Boyfriend are Dorothy and Scarecrow. I customized the Dorothy dress with adding glitter ribbon around tutu and dress and hand made some glitter Dorothy slip-in tennis shoes with old school ribbon socks. What you need:
Ribbon
scissors
Shoes of choice
Glitter
Glue and brush to layer glue on shoe
Needle and thread
Scarecrow -handmade stitched and glue from scratched
What you need
Hay
Glue gun
Fabric ( cut in squares)
Scissors
Old farming clothing (hand stitched fabric on clothing)
Calf socks ( glue hay on one or two socks)
Gloves (cut fingertips out and glue hay on)
A straw hat ( add fabric and hay around hat)
suspenders- sew fabric on them
Old t -shirt - cut out the neck area to glue hay on neck area to create the hay around the neck
