This homemade costume for kids entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Jeannette, the 'Despicable Me Minions' costume creator:

My 9yr old son, my 2yr old son and 5yr old daughter, Homemade paper mache minion costumes. Everyone loved their costumes and took video and pictures of them, they were a big hit wit everyone!!! =)

I just used a poster board and stapled into cylinder shape if u want it wider use more poster board and I blew up a large balloon and placed on top of poster board cylinder and I taped it in place and just did like 5 layers of paper mache and dats its

The goggles r sour cream containers wit lil wooden knobs spray painted all in silver and da eyes is just foam paper (iron it n quickly place over round bowl to get shape) n I colored on da eyes

well da goggles r actually empty sour cream containers I cut out a circle on da lid n bought lil wooden knobs to glue on da sides I spray painted silver, da eyes is foam paper u iron da foam wit a rag over it and quickly place over a dome shape bowl to create da roundness n just draw on ur eyes and dats it:) for da body its just regular poster board stapled into cylinder shape blew up a large balloon placed on top of cylinder taped in place n then I just did about 5 layers of paper mache on each minion then just paint n decorate to ur liking

[at]jennifer I didn't use harness I just placed thick foam on da head part on da inside n sum around arms on da inside as well so it could be comfortable so da costume was resting on there heads with dat thick foam

These costumes are absolutely adorable. Would these costumes happen to be for purchase? If not, would it be possible for you to make two costumes and I purchase them from you. My friend is having a minion party in July.
