This homemade costume for women entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Jennifer, the 'Cruella de Vil' costume creator:
I put this costume together myself based on the cartoon version of Cruella de Vil.
I bought a "rocker" wig that was black and white from a party store and spray painted the one side with black paint to give it more of a contrast. I didn't like the look of the front seam of the wig, so I clipped on a red feathery brooch. The makeup was done entirely by me. I used the glue stick method to cover my eyebrows, used a very light colour foundation, drew eyebrows on, overexaggerated my lips, and did alot of contouring to make my nose look smaller and cheeks more chiseled.
As for the clothing, I was lucky to find the fur coat used for $19.99! I wore a long black dress with a fur collar (used for 9.99!). I wore white pantyhose with black polka dots and had on red shoes. I had a cigarette holder that I got from the party store. I found a stuffed dalmation and carried that with me all night. I threw on red gloves gaudy jewlery, pearl necklaces and a black and white feather boa and off I went to my work Halloween party - I won't for best female costume!!! It was hard not to stay in character - tons of fun!!!
