PB & J Twins
|Costume type:||Costumes for Kids|
This homemade costume for kids entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Stephanie, the 'PB & J' costume creator:
This is Remy and Royal, they are 3 1/2 year old twins who are inseparable! The past few years we have done homemade costumes that are food related. First was cookies and milk and last year was a hamburger and fries! Keeping with the theme, what goes better than peanut butter and jelly? It also happens to be their favorite sandwich these days.
The base of the costumes are cardboard and hot glue.
I made 4 pieces of cardboard in bread shapes. Then curved strips of cardboard for the crust and cut holes for their head and arms. The outside was then covered with felt in bread and crust colors. I cut more light tan felt for the oats on the bread slices. The peanut butter and jelly blobs were attached with hot glue also.
Just for something extra on the backsides I glued on 'no sugar added' and 'all natural' signs.
We had the best night and enjoyed having the boys hug each other to make a sandwich!
I have so many great memories of making our Halloween costumes every year, so we are trying to keep that tradition going with our family!
