This homemade costume for groups entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Tiffany, the 'Clueless' costume creator:

We are Amber, Cher and Tai from the 1995 movie clueless. All of our costumes are hand made and not store bought. Chers costume was put together by finding yellow plaid fabric and sewing together via patterns. We had mini backpacks, furry pens and early 90s iphone cases.

Hi! I was just curious of how you made the Cher's costume. I am going with my friends and I am gonna be Cher but I can find anything good enough so i was thinking of making it and need help!

Hi just wondering if this costume is for sale. I've been searching all over for the perfect cher plaid skirt and blazer and havent come across anything!

Hi Natalie- glad you like! The cher costume was very challenging. Yellow plaid anything just doesn't exist!! I purchased the closest yellow plaid fabric I could find on Amazon. Then I bought a sewing pattern for the outfit at Joann fabrics. I had to take it to my local dry cleaner so they could size me and sew together. It was def pricey

Hi i was wondering how long it took total to come up with the cher costume (ordering and sewing etc) you guys look grey btw

Hi Frances- it took approx a month for the cher costume. I had to special order the fabric and patterns. It took a while to find a seamstress to actually sew since so many refused to create a halloween costume. The seamstress took 2 weeks. It all depends whether or not you can create yourself. That would speed up the process.

Amber costumer was black cardigan with black fur from craft store sewn on. She also had a black headband with black fur on it too (easy to make). And a red plaid skirt that you can easily now find on amazon
