A word from Sheridan, the 'Sweet Family' costume creator:
Our family loves sweets, so we decided to make our costumes out of our favorite desserts.
Mom: I am an ice cream cone. I simply cut up multi colored straws and glued them to a white dress. My cone hat was made of butcher paper that I drew lines on to look like a waffle cone.
Dad: He is smores made out of cardboard with graham cracker lines drawn on both sides. The chocolate bar inside is a batting sprayed brown and glued on.
Big sister: my oldest is a cupcake. We used s laundry basket with the bottom cut out. I folded poster board like an accordion and glued it with a glue gun. The frosting is adult white tights stuffed with batting. The sprinkles are again cut up drinking straws.
Little sister: My cotton candy girl is made by spraying batting with design master spray in your desired color. I glued it to a t-shirt using 3M adhesive. The hat is a rolled poster board that I three hole punched at the bottom on each side and tied to a crochet hat. I then glued more batting around the hat.
Baby: this one is my favorite! I used one large box to create the truck around his push car. I used lots of painters tape to hold it together, then painted it white and decorated it.
