This homemade costume for families entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Stephanie, the 'Labyrinth Family' costume creator:

This is our family labyrinth costume that I made.

Ludo's mask was sculpted from construction foam and ten painted and sealed. It is mounted on an adjustable cap then covered with fake fur. I then made a full fur suit with metal hoops to add fullness.

Sarah began as a wedding dress. I altered it down to my daughter's size then added layers of crystal organza and puffed organza sleeves.

The Goblin king is grey pants, white ruffled shirt, black leather vest and boots, velvet gloves and a hand dyed and styled wig.

Ambrosius and Sir Didymus
Ambrosius is our dog, Banjo. Sir Didymus is a stuffed dog with styles fur, added clothes, hat, feather and eye patch. I sewed him to a small prayer rug which is mounted into cardboard. I then attached Velcro straps to secure him to our real dog.

The lady in black is just a masquerade guest at the Jareth ball. It includes a large hoop skirt, black skirt, black and white striped corset and ruffled overcoat. Finally, a cool purplish red wig and laser cut mask.
