Sponge Bob and Patrick Costumes

My son David is Sponge Bob and my son Andrew is Patrick.
They are big fans of this Cartoon so Mommy and Daddy decided to go for this theme.
Since Halloween night is always cold in Napa Valley I chose to keep my babies warm for that night. David does not like anything that covers his face so I planned doing Sponge Bob around his entire body without covering his head. Andrew is more easy going so I wanted to cover his head to protect him from the cold.
Both costumes needed to be soft, light, comfortable and warm.
For Sponge Bob I used:
-Sheet of 1/2" thick foam covered with fabric for the outside and also from the inside.
-yellow for the body, brown for the pants, white for the shirt and eyes, red for the tie, blue for the eye and olive green for the spots.
I cut out 5 sheets to make the body and each one was covered with individually. the sides and top had holes for arms and the head. Once every single panels was done I sewed all of them together and I added a suspenders from the inside so he could have more mobility in his arms.
Patrick was more simple to do.
I just made a pink pajama and a big belly suit on top to make him look chubby just like Patrick. I added a hat that cover his head from the cold and also to give a better illusion of the 5th point of the star.

The result was amazing cute for me :)
